About The Book

The book presents many never before published characteristics and lifetime achievements about a humble, generous worldwide icon who lived among us quietly for a century, becoming a Celebrated International Artist––Patriot––Civil Rights Pioneer — Citizen Diplomat/Saint—Philanthropist—American Hero. She generously financed many major projects under the condition of complete anonymity. Marian Anderson’s name, once a household word, could have adorned the Robin Hood Dell, the Mann Music Center, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and numerous other institutions to which she quietly donated millions of dollars. We can never allow her legacy to be forgotten nor allow her candle to go out. There will never be another like her.

This is Marian Anderson’s 24th biography. It is different from all others because the timeline format focuses only on her personal lifetime accomplishments and challenges. It does not go down all the rabbit holes presented by scholars and is not another children’s storybook. It can be thoroughly read in just two or three sittings, hopefully encouraging your own love for Marian to share!
